• Maintain 2 ½” – 3” mowing height, and never cut more than 1/3 of grass height at one time. We use this practice at all times.
  • Leave the clippings on the lawn – clippings provide valuable nutrients. Clippings are mostly water, and as they break down they release nitrogen to the soil and supply organic matter.
  • Clippings can also be used for compost that you can add to flower beds or gardens for extra nutrients.
  • Keep blades sharp! We sharpen 1-2 times per week during heavy use.
  • Change the direction of mowing each time to reduce turf wear from the mower’s wheels.
